Thalassa France 2 - 3

Offices of Thalassa and Faut Pas Réver - France 2 and France 3

For 25 years, Georges Pernoud and his magical programmes have been exciting France’s imagination, so it was only natural that the France3 “flagship” should have such a symbolic place and tool with which to continue its work.
800 m² on the Seine, in Paris, able to accommodate 30 people for Thalassa and 20 for Faut Pas Rêver: such was the specification.
6 months of study and 7 months of construction were needed to create this unit, 50 metres in length, on 3 decks, with a displacement of 500 tonnes.
Largely lifted from the imagery of dreams and adventure, the silhouette of this flagship would not have looked out of place in the sometimes disturbing but ever marvellous world of Corto Maltèse, the eternal mariner.

Characteristics : steel hull and superstructure, length 50 m, beam 10 m, usable surface 800 m², displacement 500 tonnes.
