The imagination and creativity shown by Flahault design & Associates was rewarded on 14^th June 2004 with the award of the Jules Verne Trophy for Excellence 2004 by the Loire-Atlantique Medef (French Business Movement); the jury particularly liked the concept of floating buildings, of which the finest example is the Thalassa studio for France 3, moored on the Seine. Café Bouillu, the trendiest bar in La Baule, opened its doors at the beginning of July.
It offers a new concept in eating out, at any time of the day. The complexity and aesthetic design of the work, along with tight deadlines, made this quite a challenge. With its audacious, individual and timeless architecture, it figures amongst the finest architectural achievements on the Côte d’amour.
